UK/US Marriage History

My dissertation topic, US/UK marriage is one that is close to my heart in my private life, as I am the US half of a US/UK marriage.  The similarities and differences between our two cultures is fascinating.  The time of British history which I specialize in is the Second World War to the present, so the stories which compose the personal history of transatlantic couples from the Second World War to the present are especially interesting to me.  I am looking forward to conducting a series of oral history interviews with transatlantic couples and using those interviews to get a more in depth understanding of US/UK marriage across time.
