Northern Housing

One favorite research focuse of mine is council housing in the north of England.  There is a great deal of scholarship centered around council housing in the south, however the research in the north is lacking in comparison to the south.  I am a frequent visitor to Northern England and love talking with people about their personal experiences with council housing.   I hope to study council housing in greater depth in the future.  I believe Northern voices need to be included in northern history and would love to conduct oral history interviews at some point in the future.  Council housing remains both a timeless and timely topic.
